Donate Through a Will or Trust

Have you remembered the Parkinson’s Association of San Diego in your Will or Trust?

Here is sample bequest language you can take to your attorney: “I give to the Parkinson’s Disease Association of San Diego, whose office address is at 8555 Aero Drive, Suite 308, San Diego, CA 92123-1745 , _______ (insert either dollar amount or a percentage of your estate).”

When you name the Parkinson’s Association of San Diego in your will, you create a legacy of hope for families facing Parkinson’s disease. With a gift through your will or living trust, you retained full use of your gift property during your life. Bequests and first through living trusts can be of any size and may be of cash, securities, real estate or other property.

Individual Retirement Account (IRA)

One of the most attractive ways to make a commitment to help us fight Parkinson’s is to name PASD as a beneficiary or contingent beneficiary of your Individual Retirement Account (IRA).

How your gift will be used

You can be assured that your gift will help increase the Parkinson’s Association of San Diego’s resources to help us support families with Parkinson’s and fund promising Parkinson’s research programs. The Parkinson’s Association of San Diego maintains a 14 percent overhead to programs ratio so you know your Legacy will be well managed helping those in the greatest need.

The Legacy Society

The Legacy Society is an honorary society created by the Parkinson’s Association of San Diego to recognize and thank those who make a bequest or lifetime gift through their will or trust. As a Legacy Society member, you are entitled to these special benefits:

News about advances in Parkinson’s research, educational classes, family services serving our Parkinson’s community
Notices of Association events and meetings
Timely updates on how substantial estate planning and tax changes may affect you
Opportunity to take an active role in awareness and advocacy campaigns
Receive the Parkinson’s Post Magazine, E-News and PD Connections

By informing us of your planned gift, you will automatically enroll you as a member of PASD’s Legacy Society. Contact a member of our staff to discuss your goals.
